Now it's time for a recap before I forget everything that I want to remember.

The day before

Started the day out pretty early because we needed to get manicures and pedicures finished for three girls before lunch. Seemed to be a dismal day foreboding rain but I decided to wear my planned outfit anyway - need to get more mileage out of that dress. :P Went to pick up SK and then headed out to pick up LE who was staying at a friend's for the weekend. When we pulled into parking at the friend's apartment complex, SK and I saw LE hug her friend and get in our car. We pulled out of the complex and were waiting at a traffic light when I noticed a driver looking into our car and grinning - big grin. I asked LE, "Oh, is that your friend?" and she replied "yes". So, I waved at the grinning driver. Then LE turned around and saw who I was waving and said "That's not my friend." eek! Creepy grinning driver guy was NOT who I thought it was. oops. Lost the guy by driving speed limit. haha!! :D What a way to introduce a friend to California, huh. :p

We were a tad late to the nail salon but we were done around noon. To prep our feet for the pedicure, they had a soaking tub that bubbled. So relaxing. :) We all got french nails done - they're so pretty but so hard to maintain. But we took a picture of our feet, each one identified by a battle scar. Went to my house to show LE where DH and I are living. Then headed off for lunch - we were to meet all the girls at 1pm at a cute little teahouse. :)

Parking was a bit scarce but we all managed to find spots on the otherside of the railroad tracks which were in front of the teahouse. After we walked across the tracks, the railroad lights began flashing. We were like "oh, Caltrain". As it passed, LE took a look back -- she thought it was a "cow train" that transported cows. haha! :D

Tea luncheon was excellent! They had these yummy ginger cookies with lemon curd (like bread and butter before dinner), purple sugared violets, and a sugar bowl set on the table when we arrived. The sugar bowl was full of big sugar cubes including a purple heart shaped "cube". The waitress gave us a bell that we were to ring whenever we were ready to order. It was kind of weird ringing the bell for service.

All the tea came in a teapot with adorable tea cozies. I've never seen that setup before so I was intrigued. :)
