It's amazing how much I enjoy reading the Anne of Green Gables series. You'd think that I'd outgrow them by now. But they're so cheery and long-ago that you really can't stay blue for long once you start reading. :) I think that one of these days, I'll get the old Bantam classics version of the series - the one with the NICE pictures. I really did not like the new reprint pictures. And yes, I am particular about my books. :p

I guess the Anne series just fulfills the need of escape.
