Hectic weekend
FI and I went off to Vermont this past weekend for a wedding. Our schedule was: take a red eye flight into Boston, drive to Vermont, rest, wedding, drive back to Boston, visit condo, and leave Boston. Lots of travelling this weekend. But the wedding was romantically beautiful. Everything was covered in snow so it was so nice to be inside a cozy church. (It was a really tiny church.) It was a stirring ceremony where the bride and groom each made their own vows. The little ringbearer was adorable! After he walked up the aisle, he gave his pillow to one of the groomsmen. Then he proceeded to run laps around the pews. :p It's so funny when kids have no idea about propriety. haha!
The reception was in the lodge where we were staying. It's SO Christmas-y with big decorated trees in the lobbies and cushions around big roaring fires. There was a cocktail hour where they were giving 20 minute sleigh rides from the hotel. The horses they use are HUGE - they eat 50 lbs of hay per day!! They pulled us around the snowy woods behind the lodge. =) The food was surprisingly good. I normally don't like salmon but their salmon, I like. heheh.
After this trip, I should not complain about the winter weather here in California. Being here for a year, I have completely forgotten how cold it could get on the East Coast. Yeah, I'm a weather wimp now. heehee. Being back in Boston was really nostalgic. I really do miss being able to walk to Harvard Square for a cup of Burdick's hot chocolate...
On another note, we booked our videographer! woohoo!
