Pondering

The father of one of my friends passed away last week after enduring hours of excruciating pain - a victim of lung cancer. It's the sort of case where you wonder why the hospital doctors couldn't give him more morphine or just some type of painkiller. It also makes you wonder why it shouldn't it be legal to let people choose whether to die peacefully. Euthanasia. We can't bear to see pets suffer and therefore put them under...but why isn't that a choice for humans (in the US)?

Anyway, I went to go help check up on her pets while she was away. I got to see her pet newt (saffron-orange with milky white eyes) and fed it mealworms. Yes, I had to pick up live mealworms and put it in the feeding bowl. Since it was for someone else, I can do that type of stuff. Otherwise, I get really squeamish around bugs. Got to see her mom's two malteses. They're really white and fluffy. Funny thing is that one of them is named Tiger. :D
