Reunion

This past weekend, DH and I attended his 10 year high school reunion. It was great seeing the people I've heard of but have never met. It gave me some insight as to what I might see at my own high school reunion.

Some guys definitely got a second growth spurt in college, some guys were showing signs of balding, some guys had put on some middle age weight, some girls who became prettier, and some girls who had a head start on the aging process. My hope is to go to my reunion as an improved person. Can you imagine if people were secretly whispering to each other behind your back how you had become SO fat??? or old????

There was this one chick who had had three kids, the oldest being 9. This means she graduated high school and immediately started a family. The greatest/worst thing was that she was still thin as a smelt. sheesh! Lucky girl. When I'm pregnant, I'll be looking like a sack of potatoes with limbs. ugh.

Breather

So my deadline is past. yeah! =) That means that I can do extraneous (i.e., personal) things during job hours. hehehe.

Isn't it weird how you can have your short weekends filled and yet when it all comes down to the question "what have you been up to?" the answer is still "uh.....nothing?"

I think it's because of errands and housework. I think I should stop doing them and have more time. :D Actually, the best solution would be to have three-day weekends as standard. Life would be a lot easier and less hectic.

Vegas baabeeeee!!!

Everytime I think of Vegas, I think of a frat boy screaming "VEGAS BAAABEEEEE!!!!!!". I wonder if it's a result of the advertising I absorb or if that's just most people's reactions to going to Vegas. So, anyway, my DH and I were there this past weekend. Talk about sweltering heat! You really have to keep reminding yourself that Vegas is in the middle of a freaking desert.

We took a Friday late afternoon plane over with a layover in LA. We didn't want to check in our baggage but they made most of us checkin our carry on while getting on the plane. So of course our luggage gets pulled off in LA! Good thing they had another flight coming over from LA so they were able to put our luggage on the next flight to Vegas. Just very annoying to deal with.

We saw "O" on Friday night. A fantastic show of a versatile stage, water, talented artists, and fire. I always admire the fact that their music is live. Now I really want to watch Zumanity! It looks so intriguing.

Went to bed really late and ended up waking up at one in the afternoon on Saturday. oops. Went to take a look at the Venetian....brings back honeymoon memories. hehe. Took a taxi down to New York, New York and slowly made our way back up to Treasure Island that afternoon. Walking between casinos left us sticky and baked but walking in the casinos made us cool then cold. No happy medium. We spent an hour in an arcade shooting our way through House of the Dead. We finished it! We almost finished House of the Dead 2 but ran out of time (we paid for an hour of unlimited play). Their guns were really easy to use compared to most arcades so arms were not as sore as they usually would be.

I want to go back to Vegas.
THUNDER from DOWN UNDER <- that cracks me up so much!! :D
