August Summary
Since I had spent so long blogging the details of our trip, August will be a quick summary. heehee.
1) Las Vegas! Since DH had a bachelor party to attend that weekend, I went off with my girl friends to Vegas. Green Valley Ranch - relaxing spa day. Tao's - overcrowded but thankfully we got a table because DO's co-worker had a friend with a bachelor party there...on the same night! hehe, so lucky.
2) Broomball: For DH's friend's birthday, we played an hour of broomball. I was not on the same team as DH...and we lost. booo. The best part was that I was reunited with a very old friend that I hadn't seen since she sent me off at the airport on my way to college. :) :)
3) Another old friend: Got to meet up with another very old friend when she came to the city for a conference. Hadn't seen her since 2001?
4) Recovered lost friend: Finally got in touch with a friend who had fallen off the face of the earth last year after DH's birthday party. She and her fiance were going to get married the month after we last saw them...and then we never heard from them again. I didn't want to pry since things weren't looking good. But everything's fine - they're just two lazy butts who didn't tell anyone they got hitched.
5) Friend send-off: Ms. SBK went off to France for a whole semester to study abroad. Yeah, "study". :p No, I'm sure she'll have a rip-roaring time!
6) College roommate: Met up with old college roommate. Good to hear that she's moving up in the world and bought her very own condo. Hopefully that means she doesn't have to travel as much for work now, but you never really know. (She's a consultant with mega frequent flier miles.)
So many people in August! All good because most of these peeps I hadn't seen in a while.
