Consequences of Yard Work

This past weekend, DH and I decided to engage in some long overdue yard work. We did some pruning (me) and light tree trimming (him) Saturday morning. My work quickly ended when I encountered a spider in the bushes I was trimming. *erp*

Then Sunday afternoon, we decided to continue the pruning, did some spider wacking (him) and weeding. Whenever I do yardwork, I hate any type of itchy feeling because it reminds me of bugs which I do not like. Well, while weeding, I had several intermittent itchy sensations that persisted in the same spots. Finally, I just needed to stop because the feeling was getting a bit too much.

I wondered why I was especially itchy this time so I inspected and found these swollen patches on my sides, legs, and arms. ewwww. I had been totally bitten by who knows what!

*sigh* what great rewards for doing your chores

Oversensitivity

Sometimes things just get a little out of hand...

The American school system has changed so much. From a little shack housing all grades and ruled by a strict schoolmarm to a sprawling estate for a few grades and ruled by children (complete with playground(s), field, gym, auditorium, etc.)

Who cares whether your test was graded in purple or red? A mistake is still a mistake and the kids should learn to DEAL with the fact that they got the wrong answer. There's a lot more to life to deal with than distressing red ink. ;|
